Biography

Emerging from a unique musical journey sparked during the COVID era, this dynamic guitarist first picked up the instrument out of boredom—only to uncover a deep passion that would shape his future. His love for jazz blossomed in high school after joining the school jazz band, where he began studying improvisation under the mentorship of John Storie.

Now a sophomore at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, he continues to hone his craft under the guidance of renowned educators including John Storie, Molly Miller, and currently, Nick Stoubis. This rigorous academic training has not only refined his technical skill but also broadened his artistic vision.

Blending his classical and rock roots with jazz sophistication, his playing brings an energetic and expressive edge to every performance. Deeply drawn to jazz fusion, he sees it as the natural evolution of his voice—merging elegance, intensity, and innovation. Inspired by bands like Casiopea, he is currently laying the groundwork for his own fusion ensemble.

Beyond performance, he is also an accomplished writer and arranger. As a freshman, he composed original works for a guitar ensemble under the direction of Richard Smith. His inventive arrangement and performance of Tomo Fujita’s “Kyoto” even earned him personal praise from Fujita himself.

With a bold approach to style and an unwavering dedication to pushing musical boundaries, he is poised to leave a meaningful mark on the future of modern jazz and fusion.
